Becoming an Apprenticeship Ambassador is one of the most meaningful steps I’ve taken on my career journey so far. It’s more than a role - it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.

As someone who came into tech later in life, I know how life-changing a well-supported apprenticeship can be. But I also know that many people still don’t realise what apprenticeships really are, or who they’re for. In my latest blig, I talk aboot what being an Apprenticeship Ambassador means to me.

When I first considered doing an apprenticeship, I ran into a lot of outdated ideas. 
Now that I’m nearly finished with mine, I can confidently say: most of those myths were completely wrong.

Starting an apprenticeship is exciting - but let’s be honest, it can also feel overwhelming. Whether you’re a school leaver or changing careers, the unknowns can feel intimidating.

Looking back, there are a few things I really wish someone had told me before I began my journey as an Apprentice IT Technician at PGL Beyond. If you're just starting out (or considering applying), here are 5 things I wish I knew before starting my apprenticeship.
